Giorgio Armani Emporio Remix He Review

Filed under: Cologne Review — admin @ 1:44 pm

Giorgio Armani Remix HimGiorgio Armani remains a fashion designer best known for the business suits that carry his name. He has all sorts of business ventures from boutiques and jeans to home collections and clothing lines. He also has a line of fragrances. The Giorgio Armani style is one of luxurious and seductive elegance. One of these brands that he’s created is called Emporio Armani. The brand of Emporio Armani deals with ready-to-wear clothing, sunglasses, fragrances, watches, and accessories. The Emporio Armani is the mass produced version of the Armani custom line. It’s specifically targeted to younger people who may have fewer bucks to spend. It does offer some higher end products like Armani Jeans, but is not haute couture. You can often find Emporio Armani brand name products at high-end department stores.

This fragrance is classified as a fougere. It is a high-powered and dynamic scent that was inspired by the Fall-Winter collection, which featured the colors of midnight blue for him. The packaging and marketing evokes a night at the local discothèque, with midnight blue packaging and electrifying silver writing on the bottle. The top notes are: basil, cardamom, and bergamot. The middle notes are: lily of the valley and mace. The low notes are: vetiver, licorice, and white musk. The result is a remix that is distinctly masculine with a sweet and fresh twist.

Giorgio Armani Emporio also created a matching Remix She for women. The idea was to pair the two fragrances for a wild night out on the town. The woman’s fragrance took the electric lavender color of the Fall-Winter collection as its base too. The two scents are said to be a duo that dance together very nicely. It makes a lovely and entertaining couples gift, for those of us who want to spend a night on the town.

Synthetic or Natural Fragrance ?

Filed under: Perfume Articles — admin @ 8:17 pm

Have you ever thought about your fragrance ingredients ? Synthetic or Natural ?

Well, there’s nothing wrong about both and it’s good to know that synthetics are nothing new in perfume industry. They’ve been around since 19th century, for example Chanel Number 5 - classic has 250 natural and synthetic ingredients, including very popular - aldehyde. One of the most commonly used perfume ingredients these days - gardenia loses its natural scent when distilled, so fake replica is always in use.

ARE SYNTHETIC INGREDIENTS A COMMON THING IN TODAY’S PERFUMERY ?

We found “synthetic” in perfume world is absolutely normal, it’s just a shortcut when creating perfect scent. Using synthetics helps to preserve our Planet’s natural resources. Did you know that it takes one ton of jasmine to make one kilogram of jasmine concrete which costs about $8000 per kilogram ?

HOW NATURAL PERFUME DIFFERS ?

All natural fragrances have complexity and allure that’s distinctive, so the process of creating desired scent is much longer. Once person finds their true natural scent, it’s hooked to it forever. These scents are just so seductive, beautiful and luxurious and that’s why perfumers pride themselves on the process of creating and hand-picking ingredients.

HOW LONG CAN  SYNTHETIC AND NATURAL FRAGRANCE SIT  ON THE SHELVES?

Synthetic:  the typical shelf live of synthetic scents is two years due to natural oxidization process.

Natural: Natural perfumes last for a much shorter amount of time - around one year because of less preservative ingredients.

Lacoste Inspiration Perfume Review

Filed under: Perfume Review — admin @ 6:25 pm

Lacoste Inspiration Perfume

Lacoste is a high-end company, which retails luxury goods. Some of their items are: perfumes, clothing, footwear, watches, eyewear, and watches. The logo is a green crocodile with the name “Lacoste” underneath. Although the company is French, the mark is well known in the United States. Tennis player Rene Lacoste, who began the company with a line of tennis shirts, founded Lacoste. The brand is equated with the preppy look.

Lacoste Inspiration for Women is a scent that caters to the free-spirited modern woman. It is a classic floral fragrance. The top notes are: pink peppercorn, pomegranate, plum, and mandarin zest. The middle notes are: Muguet, peony, jasmine, and tuberosa. The low notes are: white sandalwood, vanilla, musky accord, and iris. The scent is casual and good for everyday wear, much like the rest of the Lacoste line of products. The bottle was designed by a French design agency that was inspired to ride the edge between elegance and playfulness, with a flirty feel. It is a pleasing oblong thin-shaped perfume dispenser with a light blue liquid inside. It makes you think of a cloudless summer day when you might be up to some fun and frolic.

This is a good perfume for college-aged co-eds. It is very floral and light. There is nothing really unique about it, but it can be a very pleasing casual scent for every daywear. It would fit well with the Izod line of clothing from Lacoste and for times when you are outdoors and in a sporty and playful mood. The lightness of the scent makes it good for daytime wear, but not for evening. The idea is to wear this perfume for yourself, to celebrate your own independent spirit and femininity, and not exactly as a come-hither type of scent.

Calvin Klein IN2U

Filed under: Perfume Review — admin @ 2:54 pm

Calvin Klein IN2U for WomenCalvin Klein is an American fashion designer and accessories company that made its name with its brand of jeans. Brooke Shields, teen starlet at that time, catapulted the line of jeans to infamy with the line: ”Nothing comes between me and my Calvins.” Calvin Klein is greatly respected for its line of women and menswear. They did try to venture into perfumes for a while, but ultimately failed, selling their name to Coty Inc. to try to continue the line of fragrances using the Calvin Klein name.

Calvin Klein is stirring the pot again, this time with its new fragrance called CK IN2U. It is notable for being the first fragrance to be launched in an online virtual reality world, Second Life. The marketing campaign is eager to portray CK IN2U as the fragrance that connects everyone with everyone else, much like technology and the Internet. The notes used throughout this perfumes are: red currant leaves, bergamot, pink grapefruit, sugar orchid, white cactus, red cedar, amber, and vanilla. The packaging, unfortunately, resembles a carafe of wine, the kind with a cork made of plastic.

The ads for this fragrance that was launched in 2006 appear to be targeted to co-eds and teens. The fact that the product was launched in Second Life, also leads one to believe that the scent is being marketed for young adults. Regardless, this is a scent that can be worn during the day. It is meant to be trendy and pleasing to the masses. It has heavy citrus top notes of grapefruit, which quickly tones down. The low notes of amber and vanilla are also a crowd-pleaser. While the fragrance itself is not highly innovative and slightly reminiscent of Calvin Klein CK One, the way it is being marketed is ingenious and modern.
